Ellie is a spunky little 3-year old with spastic cerebral palsy.
She needs surgery to lessen that spasticity, enabling her muscles to work better, and making her more comfortable. (Imagine how you’d feel if you had a muscle cramps in your hips and legs all the time!)
This surgery, called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, will not only improve her comfort level, it will also improve how well Ellie sits and stands.
And it will help Ellie walk.
Unfortunately, it’s expensive. At least $40,000 expensive.
This blog is not only Ellie’s story, but will chronicle the ways we try to make money for Ellie’s surgery.
It’s all about Helping Ellie Walk.
