Ellie had a bunch of pre-operative appointments Thursday, and she’ll have a bunch more tomorrow. Then Tuesday is THE BIG DAY for the SDR Surgery.
One of the appointments Ellie had this past Thursday was with the neurosurgeon that is doing her SDR surgery. He answered all the questions her Mom and Grandma had (not me, the other grandma!).
Then he asked Ellie is SHE had any questions. Being a tad shy, she didn’t answer at first, but finally she said:
“Is it okay if you fix my legs?”
I cried when I read that. Sweet girl!
Yes, yes, yes! We hope that’s exactly what this SDR surgery does, fixes your legs! Helps you walk more easily. Power walk even!!!
